New R&D Cross bar I just ordered yesterday, July 17, 2006, a big suspension
addition, bolts in behind seats to stiffen suspension in cornering, (Plus
has camera mount and mounts for H.D. seat belt harnesses). New July 19th,
2006 I also just bought the R&D Racing Chamber Brace, for the front
suspension upgrade, (picture below) man this car is going to handle like a champ. |

Here are a few pictures of my Corvette with the new RD Racing Camber Brace installed. It was about a 4 hour job, with occasional breaks. The instructions supplied seemed easy enough, and over-all it wasn't that bad, although I did have to remove the engine belt, alternator, and power steering pump. I was able to leave the alt. wires connected, just moved it out of the way, and the hose on the PS pump just move it, the issue was that the drivers side upper control arm front bolt did not have enough room to come out without hitting the PS pump pulley and belt. And there really isn't much room to work in where it goes, I had to bend one air conditioning line a little to get the bar between it and the engine, not much just a little. |

I have read from a very qualified and educated man about the amount of air that is let in on a stock air filter lid on some C4 Corvettes through the louvered vents/slots is just over 25 square inches of area. When you take off the shroud cover and cut the lid open around the five rivet holes that connect the shroud then the air inlet amount changes to more then 85 square inches of air inlet area. That is a huge increase. He also said that he had a verified dyno test done for a stock engine difference and a modified engine difference with these two stock and cut open air lid covers. The stock engine with the open lid got 2 more HP, and the modified engine got 11 more HP, either is a good addition for just cutting the lid open and letting your LT1 breath better and more. So here are the pictures of mine before and after, on my 383 stroker LT1. |

I recently bought these smooth air inlet replacement rubber ducts to install in place of the accordion style factory original air inlet tubes. Now the air flow is much smoother, and no turbulence there now. 8-03-06 |

Below is the new 3 piece front lower spoiler I recently bought and replaced the original scraped and cracked one with. 8-05-06 |

This is the new R-D Racing Cross Bar installed - It is a suspension upgrade that is a wonderful modification to have for superior handling. |

Here is the targa top after new headliner was installed, and a new mirror sticker...lol: | |||
My first dyno in my life at 40, I have had many vehicles, and this is my forth C4. My wife and I went to the Atlanta Motor Speedway this past weekend for the NOPI Nationals and while we were there and in the show, I paid $80 to have my car dyno'ed. Keep in mind that it had the 383 stroker LT1 build put is still running the stock factory tune, and with that runs and drives pretty well, I've been told though that I can expect an increase in numbers with a new custom tune since the stoker build, that will be coming soon, but for now it had three pulls here are the pictures and numbers...276.08 HP at wheels, and 315 Torque, I'm hoping that after the tune it should be well over 300 HP... |
|||
Well I spent about 4 hours at the speed shop having a custom tune ($400 initially, no charge for retunes with dyno time paid) and almost 4 hours of dyno time but charged for three ($150 an hour dyno time) I realize before I write this that there are some that will say what a waste of money on my behalf, but it was something that I needed to know, and fortunately I am in the position to be able to do this. I went in and actually got to do the pulls myself, first time for that as well, 14 pulls in all in that 3.75 hours. What an experience that was with the WOT after getting into 4th gear and all the way to 136 MPH. I did the first three pulls to the rev limiter 5800 RPM's or so and got 269 RWHP, many hours later after lots more pulls to readjusted tune which included but wasn't limited to the rev limiter being raised to 6250 RPM (Very odd to me since my stock tach only goes to 6000) and the cooling fans coming on sooner then factory setting, and CAGS programmed off through tune also (cool) plus what ever else he did, a very educated man, written up in many Corvettes and Chevrolet Magazines for many great accomplishments, we got it to 298.1 RWHP and 327.8 RWTQ from original 308.2 RWTQ. and if you look at the curve it has smoothed out considerably besides the gains in the first to 12th pull. I told the tuner after all the let down that I have been through because of what I was lead to believe that I was buying from a member and then finding out it was probably not a 383 stroker I would still like to see 300 RWHP, he told me that we can or could have but would have had to spend about another hour on the dyno, I did not think it was worth the extra hour time on the dyno to get over the 300 RWHP number even though that would have been better, I will wait to do more mods and get the re-tune done again. These numbers are not stock LT1 at the rear wheel power and torque figures, we figure with the parts receipts and engine work receipts that came with the Corvette that it had a very healthy rebuild that produces nice numbers for a LT1, adjusted at the crank averages should at the moment be approx. 350 HP and 380 pounds of torque. Below is a new just from today Dyno log, 9-19-06 |

10-25-06 - Just a week or so ago I had a new Pioneer CD MP3 cassette AM/FM stereo installed professionally with new wiring harness and new Planet Audio front and rear speakers. ($600+) There was nothing wrong with the stock stereo and/or speakers, I still have them as well. |

The above listed items are what I have the receipts for when I got the Corvette or that I have bought myself. It is not a complete listing of all parts and modifications done, but things that I do know about at the moment. The machine shop work was done at "The Machine Shop" in Orlando, FL and the order and assembly work performed by "Mid Florida Motorsports" in Oviedo, FL. Some of the work done from receipts was performed at Don Mealey Chevrolet in Orlando, FL. |

I have new "FastCoolCars.com" vinyl decals. They measure about 1 inch tall by 10 inches long. In White, bright Yellow, bright Red, and Lime Green, and Chrome. They are high quality, great looking decals, They are pictured above in red on the sides of the rear window. If you would like one to place on your fast cool ride, just send me an email. I've got about 200 left. I would like a picture sent with the decal on your ride, and I will probably make a section of cool cars with them on them. |
|||
For your very own custom page sort-of like this one, but with your own
touch and of course your Fast Cool Car pictures and description I will
make one up for you. Just send me an email. Contact Us |
