1970 4 Speed Hemi RoadRunner - Manual transmission and original Dana rear end. This is 1 of 75 RoadRunner Hemi hardtops made in 1970, and 1 of 59 4 speeds. It is listed in the Chrysler Register as per Galen Govier. The Fender tag was decoded by Galen and everything is correct. This car has undergone a complete nut and bolt rotossorie restoration and no expense was spared. This is 1 of 2 cars that we purchased from the estate of a very wealthy collector who only had low option, rare numbers matching, low mileage 4 speed cars. The Chevelle LS6 we purchased together with this car was just as nice and correct and we sold it instantly. This is an actual 26,000 mile car that is finished in the correct and stunning B7 Jamaica blue metallic and complimented with a black bench seat interior. It is a radio delete, power steering delete, strip delete, grabber hood, track pack, no guages car built for one reason, speed! The funny thing is that every car from this estate collection were totally correct except for one common trait, stainless steel glasspacks in place of the factory mufflers. Every other piece is correct on the exhaust including the date code correct resonaters and manifolds. Even though this car is more of a collectible show car than a driver, I have driven many Hemi cars and this is one of the best running and driving ones I have had the privilage of driving. The paperwork we have with this car is a blank broadcast sheet found under the seat. It is definitely a real broadcast sheet and was never filled in for some unknown reason? There is a similar car running through Barrett-Jackson this year and the projected price is between $250,000-$300,000 dollars plus auction fees. This is not some speculative future collectible car but is currently in the center of some of the most desirable and rare muscle cars ever produced and is equivalent of owning a strong blue chip stock that only appreciates over time. Well, no car is absolutely perfect, this car is pretty darn close and will please even the most discriminating eye. |
