The new chrome 17 inch rims, new tires too. Plus I got rid of the chrome tail lights that the previous owner had installed. |

A copy of the letter from Ford's SVT section (Special Vehicle Team) that
came with the certificate that shows this car was #3258 out of 3480
Cobra's built in 1998 to roll off the Dearborn assembly line. It is also 1
of only 223 built in this color blue with the black top and black leather
interior. |

I bought this car about a week ago (7-28-05). It has 49,800 original miles on it, a CarFax ran on it by me proved that, no accident report history either. I have found that Ford only built 223 cars in this color with black top and black leather interior. There has been some modifications already made to this Cobra. I noticed that it has a lowering heavy duty handling kit installed, I believe it is Eibach products, It has dark tinted windows, billet shifter, chrome tail lights, I think I will change those back out for the original red lens. It has a billet grill on it, I took it off and replaced it with the factory cobra emblem and bracket, just today I bought and installed it. It also has clear front corner lens with blue bulbs. And of course an O/R X-pipe with Flowmasters and larger chrome tailpipes. BBK polished aluminum cold air intake, with K&N air filter. This car was issued a flood title in Texas in 1999 when the car had 6000 miles on it. The car has continued to be registered since then with no interruption and continued to gain mileage evenly at 6000 per year below average since then. I have been driving the Cobra as my daily driver since last year and I know that the car works perfectly and all electrical things work great. I have looked under the carpets, in the interior and truck area, and under the console and dash and have found no sign of any water lines or marks, no other signs noticed either. I noticed a couple of the factory SVT wheels have curb marks, and I am looking for a set of chrome Cobra/SVT wheels to replace them, although I may consider getting some original types like what is already on it. (The original wheels and tires shown above are listed for sale in the classifieds section for sale.) Update 9-20-05: I got a new set of 2000 Chrome Cobra 17" wheels (Replicas) and new Kumho 245/45/17 tires, pictures above. Also sold the chrome rear tail lights and got the original 1998 Ford red lens back on it. Some speed engineering going on here. |
