2010 Ford Shelby GT500 "The 2010 Shelby GT500 demonstrates Ford's continuing commitment to high-performance vehicles," said Derrick Kuzak, Ford group vice president, Global Product Development. "In addition to the numerous performance and refinement improvements inside and out, the 2010 Shelby GT500 is an estimated 2 miles per gallon more fuel efficient on the highway." Ford's Special Vehicle Team used the gains made on the 40th anniversary edition Shelby GT500KR "King of the Road" Mustangs as the performance starting point and built from there. The design team, with a nod to the original Shelby Cobras from the 1960s, takes those design cues even further with nuanced improvements in both the coupe and convertible, each of which boasts a more-refined interior. "The muscle car segment is becoming even more competitive," said Jamal Hameedi, chief nameplate engineer for SVT. "We need to uphold the Mustang badge with honor, the Shelby badge with honor and most importantly the Ford badge with honor. The 2010 GT500 is the car that will do all of that." The 2010 Shelby GT500 builds off the performance gains pioneered on the special edition Shelby GT500KR. Horsepower and torque have been increased, while the ride is more responsive.  1970 Ford Torino GT, documented 429 Super Cobra Jet car. one of only 241 factory Torino GT's built with the Drag pack package. The almost stock looking 429 SCJ now features .60 over speed pro 10.5 compression pistons, 460 crank, Comp cam 570/570 lift, 236/236 @.05 duration, S.V.T. roller rockers, 800 cfm double pumper Holley carburetor and Flame thrower ignition system. She still retains her stock Super Cobra Jet intake manifold and heads. Exhaust consist of full 2 1/2 inch pipes hooked-up to Hooker Super comp headers and DynoMAX Super Turbo mufflers. As you can imagine, the sound immerging from this Big block Ford is a ground trembling delight!
This 68,000 original mile beauty still has its original C6 automatic transmission and 3.91 track lock rear-end. The exterior was repainted in its original Medium Bleu Metallic color. Key options include Hide-away headlights, Shaker hood, rear window louvers, Magnum 500 rims (still the original ones), front spoiler, blue laser stripes and factory tach. Other factory options include power disc brakes and power steering. My best ET to date is 13.29 @ 105 mph....Not bad for a 4200 pound beast! Robert J. Cuillerier.
