Audi R8 Spider Will be Released Next Year - Audi's R8 is about to get another model in the form of the R8 Spider Convertible next year. For those of you that were waiting for more R8 models your moment is almost here. Very soon the R8 will be offered with two gas engines (V8 & V10), a diesel (V12), and convertible or targa versions. It is being rumored that the Spider will have a targa setup with removable panels rather than a conventional soft top or folding hardtop.

The Covini C6W was first shown in 2004 and a revised version was shown at the Geneva Motor Show a year later with new wheels, interior and roof structure. Numerous prototypes have been developed and tested and now ItaliaSpeed is reporting the Covini C6W will be produced in limited numbers starting at the end of 2009. Power for this RWD 6-wheeled beast will be a 4.2-liter Audi mill channeling 433bhp (440PS) and 346lb-ft (470Nm) through a 6-speed manual gearbox. Top speed is expected to be 185 MPH.

2010 Acura NSX, it looks like the shape has finally evolved into the real deal. Here is the first look we've gotten at the front-engine successor to the mid-engine supercar. The NSX is rumored to have a V10 under that long hood, and I wouldn't be surprised to hear of some new transmission to handle all the power too. They may even be able to put this one out there as a 2009 model, seeming how far along all is with this model. Check out all the cool images in this section.

2010 Chevrolet Camaro - Some say they may be worried that the Camaro is being overexposed before its launch next year, Chevrolet has gone mum with official word about the car, while going to the unusual step of testing cars without camouflage in the hopes that spy photographers and the public would tire of seeing the same cars over and over again. Fat chance, LOL.

The 2005 Ford GTX1 roadster - Let the drooling begin. The allure of the roadster is undeniable. “To me, the open-air model of a sports car is its highest evolution,” says Kip Ewing, the Ford SVT engineering supervisor who dreamed up 2005 GTX1. The idea for the GTX1, which debuts this week at the 2005 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas, came while Ewing was working with the team at Ford on the launch of the Ford GT. Further design inspiration came from the classic 1966 Ford GTX1 roadster, a Sebring winner. Then, he let his own design instincts take over. “I always ask myself, ‘What would I do if this were my car?’” says Ewing. “Luckily, Ford was willing to let me find out.”
